The driver of a car hit in a rear-end collision with a tractor-trailer, even at low-speed, doesn't usually end up with a catastrophic injury. But a rear-end collision can result in injuries such as a herniated cervical disk or even whiplash from the force of the impact. These injuries are frequently described as being "soft tissue" or whiplash injuries and are the result of the forces involved in rapid acceleration-deceleration of the head. They can be life changing. Click here to ger your free books!

"The Five Mistakes That Can Wreck Your Florida Accident Case is a must read for anyone that has been injured in a accident in Florida!"

My case was handled courteously and professionally. All of my questions were answered promptly and I never felt anything I was concerned about was un-important. Judi always had answers and took the time to explain. She was always on top of my case when I called the office.

I really appreciated the fact that Mr. Dodson hired a professional expert to measure and make an evaluation about the place where I fell. The whole process was handled very well. Both Judi and Mr. Dodson were very nice and my experience working with them was professional.

I would recommend Jim Dodson to anyone I knew who was in need of a personal injury attorney.

"I recommend the Law Office of James Dodson.  They were always able and available when I had questions.  They even got me more than I expected right when I needed it most.  I am exceedingly grateful to have had this wonderful group of people helping and getting what we deserve."

"Soft Tissue Damage" Doesn't Necessarily Mean it's Minor

The driver of a car hit in a rear-end collision with a tractor-trailer, even at low-speed, doesn't usually end up with a catastrophic injury. A rear-end collision such as this can, however, result in injuries such as a herniated cervical disk or even whiplash from the force of the impact.

I represent a client who had just this experience. My client was rear-ended by a semi- truck while sitting at a traffic light. The impact of the crash knocked his hat and glasses off his head and into the back of the vehicle while snapping his neck back against the headrest. As a result of the collision, he was diagnosed with disc injury in his neck.

An injury of this kind, even though surgery may not be required, often has life changing consequences. They are frequently described as being soft tissue or whiplash injuries and are the result of the forces involved in rapid acceleration-deceleration of the head. They commonly cause severe neck and back pain and restricted range of motion seriously affecting quality of life. Many people, like my client, are unable to enjoy everyday activities they participated in regularly before their accident.

No one should overlook the seriousness of a herniated cervical or lumbar disc injury, eventhough you may be told it is just soft tissue damage.

The consequences of the injury can change your life forever.
