How long will my case take?

Your injury case cannot be fully evaluated until your treating physician has released you from care. That is known as your having reached "maximum medical improvement" (MMI). At that time, your doctor will be asked to provide a written opinion about your injury, including the permanency of your injury, your restrictions or limitations, your need for future treatment, and the estimated costs of that treatment. The doctor's opinion is an integral part of the evaluation of your case. The time required to reach MMI varies with your injury and your recovery. While you are treating, we will be gathering all necessary documentation in order to pursue a demand for settlement once you and Jim have decided how best to pursue your claim. Our every effort is focused on pursuing it rapidly to a conclusion on your behalf. Should your case involve a death claim, it will be necessary to open an estate so that the personal representative of the estate can be appointed for the purpose of pursuing all claims for the estate.
