What: Toyota Recall due to Gas Pedal DefectIn a recent recall, Toyota has recalled more than 2 million cars over defective gas pedals.
Toyota Recall January 2010: Toyota is voluntarily recalling 2.3 million vehicles in the United States to fix defective accelerator pedals, the latest in a series of recalls by the Japanese automaker.
The move comes just months after the company recalled about 4.2 million cars to reduce the risk of gas pedals getting stuck under unsecured or improperly placed floor mats and causing sudden acceleration.
The following Toyota Division models are affected:

• 2009-2010 Matrix,
• 2005-2010 Avalon,
