A toddler tragically drowned in a pool, in Seminole, after gaining access to the outside area through a pet entry door a news source reported. 

Jayden Roldan was staying with his babysitter, Danielle Jones, at the time of the accident. News sources say both the toddler and his babysitter had been napping together on the couch. Jones apparently awoke once and the baby was fine. Fifteen minutes later she awoke and the child was missing. It was then that she saw him floating in the pool. She performed CPR while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Sadly, more than a hundred children have died or been seriously injured in the last decade after squeezing through tiny pet doors and getting into swimming pools or other dangerous places. Sean Kane of the Safety Research and StrategiesTeam states pet doors are a danger to children that most people don't even have on their "radar screen." Millions of pet owners have installed them for convenience  to allow cats and dogs to come and go at will. Some only measure 8 by 11 inches, no bigger than a sheet of paper.
