"The Five Mistakes That Can Wreck Your Florida Accident Case is a must read for anyone that has been injured in a accident in Florida!"
My case was handled courteously and professionally. All of my questions were answered promptly and I never felt anything I was concerned about was un-important. Judi always had answers and took the time to explain. She was always on top of my case when I called the office.
I really appreciated the fact that Mr. Dodson hired a professional expert to measure and make an evaluation about the place where I fell. The whole process was handled very well. Both Judi and Mr. Dodson were very nice and my experience working with them was professional.
I would recommend Jim Dodson to anyone I knew who was in need of a personal injury attorney.
"I recommend the Law Office of James Dodson. They were always able and available when I had questions. They even got me more than I expected right when I needed it most. I am exceedingly grateful to have had this wonderful group of people helping and getting what we deserve."
Did you know the state of Florida has some of the toughest sentencing guidelines in the country for repeat DUI offenders? First and second Florida DUI convictions can result in a sentence that includes probation, community service, temporary loss of a license, and steep fines. Repeat DUI offenders can also expect to have radical changes to the way they live their lives, not least of which is transportation.
If a driver is convicted of a third Florida DUI, imprisonment is mandatory. Revocation of a driving license will last at least 10 years. With 4 or more convictions a repeat DUI offender in the state of Florida can also expect a fine no less than $2000 and permanent revocation of license, with no opportunity for a hardship reinstatement of that license.
For the rest of his or her life, a repeat offender in Florida will be forced to use public transportation, bike or walk, or rely on friends and family to get to their destinations. In a state with a poor public transportation system, such restrictions definitely reduce an offender's freedom.
These mandatory sentencing guidelines are solely for a Florida DUI conviction. Those offenders whose irresponsible driving resulted in damage to property or bodily injury can expect to have additional charges filed against them. If convicted, these additional charges will result in additional fines and/or jail time.
If you've been a victim in a car crash involving a repeat DUI offender in Florida, you can be sure the state will act with stiff sentencing guidelines. But you may also need to file a civil lawsuit to recover damages for your injuries and accident expenses.
